Hi Michael, James,
I've only really started thinking about this, but I'm guessing we should
brainstorm what is required here. The end-result should be something as
simple to use (or simpler, if possible) than the filter generator on
hermes.
Things that it should be able to create filters for:
- redirect all mail to foo@bar.com
- filter mail on some kind of pattern match, then do something with it
(redirect, or file into a particular folder)
- set up a 'vacation' message
- block spam from pattern-matched address(es)
We should try wherever possible to use '*'s as wildcards, though we could
also use the leading '~' idiom to signify regexp matches for a bit more
control. I'm guessing that Perl is probably a good idea for this :)
Any other thoughts?
Jock
